Preserving Our Precious Waters: 2024 Blog Series Intro

by | Jul 4, 2024 | News | 0 comments

Lakes are vital ecosystems that support a diverse range of life and provide essential and recreational resources. For example, our lakes are home to native fish populations including Bluegill, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike (pictured above), Pumpkinseed, Redear, Rock Bass, and Yellow Perch (Kosciusko County Lakes Guides, 2022-2023). And this Saturday night, July 6th, our community will celebrate Independence Day with fireworks on display over Lake Wawasee. (Show starts at 10:15pm!)

Community involvement is crucial in maintaining the ecological balance and ensuring the sustainability of lake ecosystems.
